The Couture Sewing classes will cover techniques used in traditional tailoring and atelier make of designs. 

Using the appropriate approach when assembling a garment has big impact on the overall appearance  of  the design. It is the foundation of creating atelier made pieces. 

On the class we will practise machine and hand sewing . The techniques will cover seam and hem finishes, pressing, shrinkage, smocking techniques and pasting and hemming for tailoring. The methods are a tool to sculpt a piece.

Classes will take place at our studio in St Breward, and will either be one-off full days or weekly sessions of three hours.
